Capabilities

How we work, and what we build.

Six disciplines, one studio. We move between scales, from a brass door handle to a fifty-apartment courtyard block, with the same patience and the same small team.

Most commissions begin with architecture and extend into the interiors, objects, and landscape around them. We are happy to lead the whole project or to collaborate alongside other consultants you trust.

Architecture

Full architectural service from feasibility and concept through tender and site delivery. We act as lead consultant on residential, cultural, and small commercial projects.

  • Feasibility studies
  • Planning applications
  • Construction documents
  • Site supervision

Interior architecture

Considered interiors for both new builds and existing buildings, with bespoke joinery and lighting drawn in-house to fit each room exactly.

  • Spatial planning
  • Joinery & millwork
  • Material schemes
  • Lighting design

Adaptive reuse

Sensitive interventions in heritage and industrial buildings, balancing preservation with the demands of contemporary use.

  • Heritage assessment
  • Structural strategy
  • Insertion design
  • Conservation detailing

Sustainability

Embodied carbon and operational energy modelled from concept onward. Passive principles first, technology only where it earns its place.

  • Carbon accounting
  • Passive design
  • Material lifecycle audit
  • Renewable strategy

Object & furniture

Furniture and lighting designed in-studio and produced in small editions with European workshops we have worked with for over a decade.

  • Object design
  • Workshop liaison
  • Edition production
  • Distribution

Masterplanning

Small-scale masterplans for housing, cultural campuses, and rural sites, with an emphasis on landscape and long-term phasing.

The Process

Four phases, no shortcuts.

  1. 01

    Listening

Two months of conversations, site visits, and reading the brief aloud until what the project really wants becomes audible.

  2. 02

    Drawing

Hand sketches, physical models at 1:200 and 1:50, and at least one full-scale corner mockup before construction documents begin.

  3. 03

    Building

Weekly site presence from groundworks to handover. Our partners sign off on every key detail in person before it is built.

  4. 04

    Returning

We come back at six months, two years, and ten years to learn how the building is being lived in and what we should do differently next time.
